When I first experience mobile broadband several years back I though instantly that it was something I never though would happen in my life time. However, instantly I seen the benefits. At the time I was working in sales and spent a lot of time on construction sites. The thoughts of being able to email PDF files to clients while I was out doing my sales rounds bought a smile to my face. The thoughts of when I get home at night the night can now be mine and not stuck emailing clients with PDF specifications and so on.
When I bought this up in a meeting the price was a factor and instantly shot done due to costs. However, now you can get 3G internet from only £7.50 per month!
As I say this was right at the start of mobile broadband, so simply connecting to a search engine was a cost. Now there is a lot of people who have 3G internet as a spare means to getting online. I recommend to people if they only need connection every so often when out and about to go for the £7.50 1GB deal from 3. I myself have the 3 3g internet but I went for the 15GB data. At the time I bought this I got an excellent deal, 3 where offering the 15GB for £15. It now costs £25 for the 15GB, however, it is still an excellent price for this amount of data.
Pricing is always changing but the average you expect to pay is £15 for 3GB data. Then for a light user you can spend just £7.50 and for the guys that need closer to unlimited the 15GB is for you!
Of course if you like the many skeptics out there and like to test the water first there is an option for you. You can get the mobile internet pay as you go deals. There are different ranges and prices. On all of these deals you have to pay up from for the 3G Modem, anything from £10 onwards. There is then a range of different tariffs ranging from pay per day to pay per month. This way you can decide if it is for you with no commitment of a contract
